The objectives of this study are to learn how to improve quality and productivity of printing, save the production costs and control the quality of printing. In addition, this study provides better understanding of the communication between customers and service providers, as well as to identify the color contrast from output printers of the Fuji digital printers--model 700 and v80. In this study, Density and Delta E were recorded and used for examining the printing quality. The application software was used to design the quality test. Coated paper 210 g/m2 was used as test paper. It was printed out 5 sheets per a printer. A spectrophotometer was used to measure the quality of print color. L*a*b and Density were recorded as the results. After analyzing the results, acceptable Delta E should not be more than 2.0. The study found that the original file, which was created by using Adobe Illustrator software could provide the closest color shades to the standard color values. The average delta E was 18.76 and 6.38 for the test color Y and B, respectively. The average file distortion value was 12.57. On the other hand, the average file distortation value of the original file that was created by using Adobe Photoshop software was 14.32. In addition, Fuji digital printers--model v80 could produce the closest color shades to the standard color values. The average Delta E were 3.14 and 4.19 for the test color Y and B, respectively. The average machine error was 3.66. The result of color calibation of the test colors Y and B are as follows: L*-0.16 a*-0.05 b*-1.78 and L*-0.79 a*0.24 b*-1.20. The average delta E of the test color Y and B were 1.75 and 1.79, respectively.
