dc.description.abstractThis independent study aimed to examine 1) personal factors affecting task efficiency of contractors in an industrial plant, 2) the effect of teamwork on industrial plant contractors’ task efficiency, and 3) the effect of work motivation on task efficiency of contractors in the same industrial plant. The samples used in this study comprised 250 industrial plant contractors of Inmac Engineering Company Limited. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. Statistical methods used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple linear regression. The results demonstrated that differences in the personal factors of gender, age, employment history, and monthly income affected the task efficiency of industrial plant contractors. Similarly, the teamwork components of work delegation, establishing the mission and goals of the team, distribution of leadership, and joint decision-making had effects on task efficiency of industrial plant contractors. Additionally, work motivation defined by the motivational factors of responsibility, achievement, recognition, job specification, and advancement, together with the supportive factors of company policies and administration, working conditions, job security, wages and compensation, and job position both demonstrated statistically significant effects on the task efficiency of industrial plant contractors of Inmac Engineering Company Limited at a level of .05en
