dc.description.abstractThe objectives of this study were 1) to study the public participation in management of natural resources and environment in Wang Sombun district, Sa Kaeo province, and 2) to study the relationships of public participation in natural resource and environmental management in Wang Sombun district, Sa Kaeo province. The sample group used in this research is 400 people who are listed on the Population Census and live in Wang Sombun district, Sa Kaeo province using random sampling methods. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test correlation analysis to compare the differences between independent variables in two groups and using One-Way ANOVA statistics to compare differences between two or more independent variables at the statistical confidence level of 95% (α = 0.05). When the differences were found, they were compared in pairs by LSD (Least Significant Difference) to test the hypothesis. The results of the study showed that the public participation in the management of natural resources and environment in Wang Sombun district as a whole was at a high level. Regarding the participation in benefit receipt, the participation was at the highest level. Next, the participation in operations and the participation in evaluation were at a high level. Lastly, the participation in decision making was at a high level. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that there was no statistically significant difference at .05 among people with difference in sex and educational levels, participating in the management of natural resources and environment in the area of Wang Sombun district, Sa Kaeo province. However, people with difference ages, occupations and incomes, participating in the management of natural resources and environment in Wang Sombun district, Sa Kaeo province were statistically significant difference at .05.en
